Admission Process for International Students

Step 1: Pre-Course Counseling

Interested students have to contact our consultants / appointed agents for a pre-course counselling session. Once a student decides to enrol, they have to submit the application form and supporting documents.

Step 2: Application Submission

Fill up the MAGES Student Application Form and submit with the following documents:

  • Passport showing full particulars
  • Birth Certificate*
  • Highest Education Qualification Certificates/Transcripts of Records*
  • 1 recent coloured passport sized photograph with white background
  • Portfolio (If required)
  • Documentary proof of financial ability of applicant/parents in the form of bank statements/fixed deposit accounts/savings accounts to support education and living expenses in Singapore.
  • Parents employment letter (in case of minors only)
  • Parents Passport showing full particulars (in case of minors only)
  • Application Fees of SG$ 535.00 including Goods & Services Tax (GST)

* Photocopy (notarized and translated if not in English).

Notes

  • Application fees can be made payable via cash, cheque, bank transfer, Nets, Amex.
  • Instructions in case of payment via cheque: write your name, NRIC/passport number and contact number behind the cheque.

Step 3: Application Evaluation

Applicants would be invited for an Interview with the Academic Director. On further evaluation of the Application documents and interview results, successful applicants will receive the “Letter of Offer” and admission to the program.

Step 4: Acceptance of "Letter of Offer"

Successful applicant will receive a "Letter of Offer" and will have to accept and submit the signed copy of the "Letter of Offer” to proceed for Student Pass Application.

Step 5: Student Pass Application

Once the applicant has submitted the signed “Letter of Offer”, the Applicant is required to submit the completed and signed ICA Forms e16 and V36. MAGES will then apply for the Student Pass with Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore on the Applicants behalf. The processing time for Student Pass application is about 4-6 weeks upon receipt of the application by ICA. When the Student Pass is approved, the In Principle Approval Letter which allows a student to study in Singapore will be issued by ICA and will be sent to the student via email.

Step 6: Contract Signing and Course Fee Payment

On issuance of the In Principle Approval Letter by ICA, MAGES staff would issue the following documents to the student:

On accepting and signing the Standard Contract, student is advised to pay the Total Course Fees as per the fees stated in the “Letter of Offer”.

Pre-Departure Information

Students should arrive in Singapore at least 10 days before their course commencement date for an appointment with ICA to complete the Student Pass Formalities. Before coming to Singapore, students should ensure they have the following:

  • A valid passport for international travel (6 months validity).
  • All original copies of your academic transcripts and certificates.
  • Accommodation arrangements on arrival. (Contact [email protected] if you need help).
  • Enough Singapore currency.
  • Get an adequate initial supply of regular medication and prescription from your doctor, if required.
