SCHOLARSHIPS

All students who apply for admission at the MAGES Institute of Excellence will automatically be considered for our general merit scholarships. 

MAGES Merit Scholarship

The MAGES Merit Scholarship is used in the form of tuition waivers.  No specific application is required and admitted students will be notified in their MAGES acceptance letters if they qualify.  The eligibility of this scholarship will include the review of the student’s portfolio by our Academic Board.

Grants

Singapore provides a variety of government funding for training and courses to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. These tuition grants are not repayable and support the education of students at various levels. MAGES Institute of Excellence is recognized by IMDA and is eligible to provide the following grants:

a) Skills Future Credit

Selected MAGES Courses are listed on the Skills Future Directory. SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning. All Singaporeans aged 25 and above have received an opening credit of S$500 last January 2016. Their credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so recipients may accumulate credit. SkillsFuture Credit can be used on top of existing government course subsidies to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. MAGES Institute of Excellence has been recognized by SSG and is eligible to provide you with the following Grants: SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Training Grant The SkillsFuture Training Grant is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents 21 years or older. SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Credit Courses The SkillsFuture Credit Courses are for Singaporeans that are 25 years or older. SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Absentee Payroll The SkillsFuture Absentee Payroll program supports Singaporeans or Permanent Residents that a Singaporean Company sponsors. The student studies at MAGES during designated working hours. SkillsFuture Enterprise Singapore (SSEG) Enterprise Credit The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit is for enterprises that have contributed at least S$750 of Skills Development Levy and have employed at least three Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (both over the same period). The enterprise must not have been qualified in any earlier periods.

b) Info-Comm Media Development Authority (IMDA)

Singapore provides a range of grants and subsidies for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, enabling them to follow their aspirations. These grants are not repayable and support the education of students at various levels. MAGES Institute of Excellence has been recognized by IMDA and is eligible to provide you with the following Grants: Tech Immersion and Placement Program (TIPP): The IMDA Tech Immersion and Placement Program is available for Singaporeans or Permanent Residents that are 18 years or older. The applicant is required to have passed three O-Level MAGES requirements. Permanent Residents are limited to 15% of all TIP Programs. Additionally, candidates that have already benefited from the Professional Conversation Program by SSG do not qualify for this grant.

c) Ministry of Education (MOE)

The MOE Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) is a grant available for Singaporeans 16-31 years old who have only finished their secondary schooling.

d) National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)

Union Training Assistance Program The NTUC Union Training Assistance Program is available for students 16 years or older who are part of an NTUC Union. Self-Employed Personal Training Support Scheme This NTUC program is for the support of Singaporeans who are currently self-employed.
