Scholarships

At MAGES, we make it our goal to reach out to as many aspiring students and professionals as possible. If you wish to receive world class education in the field of media, animation, gaming and design, but are experiencing financial constraints, MAGES invites you to apply for our Sponsored education program.

a) Mages Merit Scholarship:

All students who apply for admission at MAGES Institute of Excellence are considered for general merit scholarships in the form of tuition waivers. No special application is required for consideration and admitted students will be notified in their acceptance letters if they qualify for merit scholarships.

As required by the admissions process, students will have to submit their Art/Design/Tech portfolio for review along with their application. The portfolio will be reviewed by the Academic Board to assess the eligibility for the scholarship.

b) Exclusive Scholarship for SAFRA/Tech Club members

Exclusive Scholarship for SAFRA/Tech Club members

The SAFRA Scholarship provides an exclusive scholarship to students who are active members of SAFRA Club or SAFRA Tech Club and, are willing to pursue a Diploma Course, Professional Certificate or Professional Short Course from MAGES Institute.

Grants

Singapore provides a range of grants and subsidies for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, enabling them to follow their aspirations. These grants are not repayable and support the education of students at various levels. Mages Institute of Excellence has been recognized by IMDA and is eligible to provide you with the following Grants:

a) Info-Comm Media Development Authority (IMDA)

IMDA seeks to promote innovation and nurture talents in the Infocomm & Media sectors, ranging from technology startups to creative media individuals. The aim is to ensure that the industry is globally competitive and remains the nucleus for businesses in the region. IMDA has taken many initiatives to support the local Media industry and has provided measures at both a corporate and individual level.

Through its Talent Assistance Grant, IMDA provides funding support for the capability development of media practitioners. This is in line with its policy intent to grow a strong Singapore core of media talents in a flourishing media industry. Successful applicants will receive support of 90% of the course fee (excluding GST), capped at S$3,000 per course for IMDA’s approved local courses.

The individual applicant must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Fresh Media Graduates
  • Media Professionals Self-Sponsored/Organisation-Sponsored
  • Media Freelancers

b) Skills Future Credit

Selected MAGES Courses are listed on the Skills Future Directory. SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning. All Singaporeans aged 25 and above have received an opening credit of S$500 last January 2016. Their credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so recipients may accumulate credit.

SkillsFuture Credit can be used on top of existing government course subsidies to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses.
