The Advanced Diploma in Visual Effects Course is designed for students to apply creativity and technical knowledge to enrich the storytelling aspects in a range of films and related projects.
Our Visual Effects course has been devised with input from industry professionals, to develop one’s understanding of primary visual effects and animation technology and their application in a film production process. The course will give one detailed knowledge of the production context and related disciplines that informs visual effects practice. By the end of the course students would have developed a professional show reel tailored to their own career aspirations, ready to launch their creative career.
Duration:9 Months (3 Hrs per Day; 5 Days per Week Full-Time, 3 Days per week Part-Time) No difference in the total number of contact hours between Part-Time and Full-Time

Students will learn the procedures of animation and modeling, comprehension of dynamic and particle effects, and how to navigate the environment shared with Look Development Artists.
This term will cover the following modules :

Students will dive deep into different levels of compositing with live-action and computer-generated imagery in the second term of the program. Compositing is the most critical aspect of VFX and is where the skillsets of the students come into being. In the last term of the program, students establish their portfolio, a demo reel, and a website as they prepare to take their skillset to the workforce.

What I love about MAGES is how different each individual is, they come from all over the world and learn from each other to produce amazing work. Applicants must be 18 years old or above at Commencement, and have obtained MAGES Diploma in 3D Animation / Game Design / Game Art/ Animation OR Diploma in Animation / Game Design/ Game Design and Development / Multi Media/ VFX from Polytechnics.
