The MAGES Institute offers a 9-month Foundation Certificate in Art and Design aimed at equipping learners with a comprehensive understanding of Digital Arts. Students will gain mastery for the fundamentals of Digital Art prior to pursuing diplomas and degrees. Industry-leading educators and mentors facilitate an immersive learning experience through rigorous modules that evaluate assignments, projects, and practical coursework. Graduates of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Technology program acquire valuable skills helping them to identify career paths and proceed to their Diploma program of choice.
The 9-month Foundation program provides the necessary thorough groundwork for beginners in the Digital Arts.
The Art and Technology Foundation courses ensure that students are confident in basic principles of Digital Art before moving on to diplomacy and degrees. Industry-leading educators and mentors guide participants through in-depth modules by assessing assignments, projects, and hands-on experiences with the coursework. Upon completion, students will have the assets to designate a suitable career path in digital art and media.
DURATION : 9 Months (3Hrs per Day; 5 Days per Week Full-Time, 3 Days per Week Part-Time)
STUDENT-TO-LECTURER RATIO : 12 Students : 1 Lecturer
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : Lectures & Practical (Hands-on Application)
MODE OF ASSESSMENT : Project-Based Assessments for All Modules
NOTE : A Pass in all Modules within the maximum study period is required for Graduation.
Term 01
DEVELOP FUNDAMENTALS
In the first term, students will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, and speaking in an academic setting. Although often underutilized, acquiring strength in these areas will carry students through the rest of their educational pursuits.
Term 02
BUILD ON YOUR SKILLS
Creative Concept Development will be introduced in the second term as students lay the groundwork for a future as technological creators and problem-solvers. Participants will learn practical applications of creativity and how to use it in a consumer-driven workplace. Students will also start to build their skillset as they learn techniques in composition, drawing, and digital design through modern digital software.
Term 03
PORTFOLIO
The last portion of the course will grant a Certificate in Technology as participants learn mathematical principles for gaming and immerse themselves in the developmental tools used in the industry. A basic understanding of programming will also be introduced through programming languages like Python. Students will gain proficiency not only in designing and strategizing interactive game interfaces but in building simple applications for them as well.
