This course provides students with a deep understanding of the current marketplace for video games in preparation for successful careers in the video games industry. With a focus on entrepreneurialism, the course will cover a wide range of business, management, and legal issues, including an overview of current business models in games, methods for pitching and getting products funded, production management techniques, as well as business start-up nuts and bolts for aspiring entrepreneurs.
This module will also nurture the essential soft skills for students to develop communication skills, business management skills, and attitudes that enable students to creatively solve problems and identify opportunities in the game design industry.

Identify the possible source of funding including various types of private equity, angel investors and non-traditional sources

Select and justify a funding source which is appropriate for the business case

Identify and describe the opportunities and key financial risks facing the business
Gauge the Fundraising Effort made, make appropriate changes and validate the pitch ideas and projects
