About Full Stack Course
MAGES Institute is proud to run its Professional Certificate in Full Stack Web Development Course under IMDA’s Tech Immersion and Placement Program scheme.
The Full Stack Course puts students on the fast track to learning the basics of Web Development with a view to be able to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
Full Stack Web Developers are in high demand as every business and entity moves towards having an online presence, and Full Stack Developers are uniquely suited to handle this task as compared to specialised Web Developer teams of yesteryear.
Students in the Full Stack Course would be starting their learning journey with Programming Fundamentals, including frameworks of both Front End and Back End Development, progressing to Front End specific programming using JavaScript, Database management, and Back End specific programming using Python.
In the final term, the students will create their own Capstone Project using all the knowledge gained.

Capstone Studio Practice is a research-based module that integrates concepts and fundamentals throughout the program. Students will go through the whole process of developing web Applications with guidance from mentors based on the problem statement or brief given (Students have a choice to come up with their own problem statement as well).

Our Professional Certificate Program are designed for beginners, the first module (Fundamentals) is meant to cover any skill gaps before starting the core skills portion of the Program.
What are the hardware requirements for this Program? Will I have to purchase it myself?
The Professional Certificate in Full Stack Web Development program requires a Windows Laptop with PowerShell or a Mac with Terminal.
As Web Development at the individual level is not computationally intensive, a high-end laptop is not required. Please contact us for the updated Minimum and Recommended Specs for the Laptop.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
Minimum Entry Requirements
- 2 credit passes at GCE ‘O’ Level in any subjects excluding English or
- Or GCSE/IGCSE-5 subject passes including English in Grade A to C
- Or ITE NITEC or Higher NITEC or equivalent (eg Post Nitec Certificate in Office Skills/Certificate in Business Skills)
- Or Singapore Integrated Program: Completed IP Year 4
- Or At least 2 WSQ Statements of Attainment in Workplace Literacy or Numeracy (WPLN) at Level 4 or 5 and above (eg under Employability Skills System (ESS) certification)
- Or ITE modular certificate at the post-secondary level (non-tertiary) or equivalent
- Or Foundation Certificate in Art and Technology or Certificate in Art or Animation related course in MAGES or other institutions with similar qualifications
- For International – Applicants should have an Equivalent to Year 10** qualification with an average of 65% (** from the respective home country of the applicant) with proof of pass in English
- Alternate Admission Requirements-Submit Portfolio and pass the interview with Academic Director and be approved by Academic Board
