What are the elements that make up a game? You can get the answers of all these questions with a 45 hours course of Game Concept Design.
Here, you will learn how to conceptualise and design a game. Monetising strategy for any game is a skill that is necessary for any game designer. You’ll also learn about player psychology and behaviour types and how to attract your target audience.
Concept Art Game Design
Concept art is the foundation of game design, bringing ideas to life visually before they are transformed into interactive experiences. At MAGES Institute, our game design course integrates concept art as a core component, teaching students how to create compelling visuals that define the look and feel of a game.
Through this course, you will learn how to develop character designs, environment concepts, and visual storytelling techniques that are essential for any game. Our hands-on training covers the principles of color theory, composition, perspective, and character design, helping you bring your creative ideas to life.
You will also learn how to work with industry-standard software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, ensuring your designs are ready for development. Whether you aim to design fantasy worlds, futuristic settings, or unique characters, our game design course provides the tools and knowledge to create stunning concept art that guides the game development process.
COURSE OVERVIEW

In this 6 Weeks Part-Time course students will gain a strong understanding of the fundamentals of game design & conceptualisation, focusing on key aspects such as systems thinking, iterative design, playtesting, and collaboration.
You will craft a comprehensive game concept, pitch, storytelling and supporting design documentation, transforming your ideas into a structured Game Design Document, ready for pitching.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Display a comprehensive understanding of narrative structures in games, game mechanics, players and player types.
- Research successful games in the same genre
- Apply the findings of the genre research in order to ensure that the game to be developed will meet the needs of the target audience while being profitable
- Integrate all design concepts and ideas into a game concept document
- Produce a game design documentation that has significant theoretical, narrative, perceptual and aesthetic coherence.
- Communicate and visualise basic forms of game design to relevant stakeholders
- Be able to translate a marketing requirement into the game design document
- Understand on how to lead Game pitches to external stakeholders
- Foster an understanding of monetization and how it functions to create meaningful engagement for players.
- Identify the key components of an effective monetization for different target audiences and genres
- Apply the principles of monetization to a game design project incorporating the use of game economy features
- Acquire knowledge about game industry ecosystem and its functioning across the globe.
- Evaluate game concept, its predictive acceptance by the targeted audience and game’s monetisation model.

- IT professionals/ Mid-career switchers interested to up-skill themselves in Designing their own Independent game
