Game Art Diploma

MAGES Game Art School offers a unique Game Art Diploma that prepares students for a successful career in the game arts and design industry. The program covers all aspects of game development including character modeling, animation, rigging, texturing, lighting, level design, gameplay, and audio. Students will also learn about the history of video games, game design principles, and game art fundamentals.

Throughout the program, students will be exposed to real life projects and assignments such as character design, prop design and environment design that will help them gain valuable hands-on experience in creating games. Upon completion of the program, students will receive an industry recognized diploma and a portfolio containing their best works.

Game Art Institute

MAGES Institute of Excellence offers a 12 month Game Art Diploma Programme. In the Game Art Institute, students will learn about the basics of game art, develop their skills, and work on a game development project to create a simulation of the game production pipeline.

The Game Art Course at the Game Art Institute is designed to teach students basic art fundamentals and principles of game design, with an opportunity to create a next generation character via Zbrush Classes. During the second term, students will learn how to model environments for games and then progress to the third term – focus on game production and learn about methodologies of working in a game studio.

About Game Art Diploma

More information about Game Art Diploma is available as follows – Course outline : First term comprises Game Design Principles, Art Fundamentals, and Fundamentals of Game Art. These three terms aim to build a strong foundation upon which the students can learn, experiment, and start creating their own games after ZBrush Course

They will then be tasked with a hands-off application for using Next-Generation workflows to create Next Generation Game Character Design, Build Environments using 2D & 3D Concept Design Processes and 3D Modelling in Zbrush Class, Digital Sculpting to Compose a Finished Product.

In the final term of the programme at the Game Art Institute, students will focus on creating Game Productions and develop their final Portfolio using polished artworks refined through professional critiques, and be prepared to step into the Digital World.

Illustration Art

Game art illustration is relevant to developing excellent games in Unity. At MAGES Institute, the Illustration Art course presents how to develop good visual art for creating beautiful games using Unity.

In these courses, you’ll discover how to draw characters, environments, and assets that fit well with Unity’s development platforms. We help you develop skills such as digital painting, concept art, and texturing techniques.

We ensure that you understand the essence of visual content that complements the playability of a game, as well as the storytelling aspect of the game.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Modern game art pipelines demand assets that are optimized, engine-ready, and built for real-time environments. This diploma equips students with the skills to create high-quality characters, props, and environments using industry-standard workflows, including digital sculpting, 3D modeling, texturing, and photogrammetry.

 

Students gain hands-on experience integrating their assets into Unreal Engine, preparing a real-time portfolio that reflects professional production standards. The curriculum also includes exposure to 3D printing workflows and real-time animation import, allowing students to present their creations with movement and in-engine visual fidelity.Delivered in a studio-simulated environment, this 12-month program develops both creative capability and technical fluency.

 

Graduates will be equipped to enter the industry with a portfolio that not only showcases their artistry, but proves their readiness for real-time game development pipelines.

International Students are only offered Full-Time program.

STUDENT-TO-LECTURER RATIO: 18 Students : 1 Lecturer

Term 1, builds core skills in visual design and 3D modeling. Students explore sketching and digital painting to develop visual clarity, then use modeling tools to create and texture game-ready props. Photogrammetry adds real-world capture methods, as students produce 2D and 3D work grounded in early game art workflows.
