About Digital Art Course

The goal of this Digital Art course is to provide advanced theoretical and practical expertise of figure/character development for a variety of visual storytelling media, such as games and animation. Investigate a character’s essence by cultivating their attitude and delving into what makes them feel real and grounded. You’ll learn how to express all parts of a character in their apparel as well as the smallest details, such as position, attitude, and personality, in the video game and cinematic worlds. Brush up on your digital painting talents by experimenting with different painting techniques and strategies such as custom shapes, custom brushes, etc in this Digital Art Class. This course will teach you how to design a character based on a tale and how to comprehend and develop character poses.

Character Design for Films & Games

Characters are the agents through which we are brought into the world and universe of a Game, Movie or TV Show; they fulfil a crucial and vital role in media. This course will provide advanced theoretical and Practical knowledge of figure/character development for various visual narrative media, including games and animation.

Explore the essence of a character by developing their attitude and digging deep into what makes them feel real and grounded. Visual storytelling is key in the video game and cinematic world, and you will learn how to portray all aspects of a character in their attire as well as the smallest details, such as pose, attitude, and personality.

Taught by Mohd Zaki bin Ragman, who is a published illustrator and comics artist with over 18 years experience in the industry (his latest comic Badang is a historical comic based in Singapore during the Second World War) and mentored by Kobe Sek, an Art Director at Ubisoft Singapore with over 10 AAA titles under his belt, ensuring that your unique artistic needs and aspirations are met.
