After Effects Advanced Class

Motion Design Advanced Classes by MAGES Institute introduces the theory and production of 2D graphical elements for multiple platforms. Here, design projects are analysed according to their conceptual and graphical composition and are developed to creatively communicate a message to a specific audience. The after effects advance classes will focus on creative brief and idea generation. You’ll also develop an understanding of graphic design principles in motion graphics and will be awarded with a certificate of completion after the 30 hour course is completed.

SHORT COURSE OVERVIEW

This course introduces the theory and production of animated 2D graphical elements for multiple platforms. Concept, research, design, and pre-production techniques for motion graphics projects are covered, focusing on animating with typography, graphic symbols, shapes, and color.

Design projects are analyzed according to their conceptual and graphical composition and are developed to effectively and creatively communicate a message to a specific audience.

INSTRUCTORS

Jerome graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Animation, from Nanyang Technological University. His directorial debut, Hooked (2010), made official selection in Singapore TBS Digicon 6. He has since directed and produced under various companies for clients such as HDB, Singapore Prisons, People’s Association, Aviva and Google. He now serves as the Resident Producer and Director in Pharaoh Entertainment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
  • Compose and articulate visual storytelling solutions using creative thinking models and principles such as SCAMPER & other ideation techniques.
  • Demonstrate an ability to select appropriate elements of a story, styles, and platforms of dissemination in the context of the narrative.
  • Apply Creative Storytelling techniques to produce storyboards that communicate sequential narration with accurate perspective and placement of characters.
  • Integrate the use of design, typography, sound, space, timing, and animation within motion pieces for effective storytelling.
