PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Applied AI for Business Analysis is a full-time SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) run by Ngee Ann Polytechnic and delivered by MAGES Institute of Excellence as its training delivery partner.
It is designed for mid-career professionals looking to move into, or grow in, AI-enabled business roles.
You learn to work the way an AI-enabled business analyst does. You start with the business problem, work out where AI fits, then choose the right tool, with AI supporting every step. You don’t need any coding background.
The programme runs over three months in five hands-on modules. Each module is one step of the analyst’s workflow (Understand, Design, Define, Analyse, Prove), and each builds on the last.
The programme ends with a real industry capstone. You take a business problem from scope to solution, guided by an industry mentor, and present your findings to a panel.
You graduate with a Certification of Completion issued by Ngee Ann Polytechnic, a portfolio-ready project, and career support for your next move.

Step 1: Understand
Learn what AI can and can’t do in business. Spot where it adds value in your industry, judge AI tools, write prompts that work, and catch hallucination and bias.

Step 2: Design
Map a real business process, then build a working AI workflow with no-code and low-code tools. Learn how AI components connect into end-to-end workflows.

Module 3: (SCTP Module) AI Business Analysis
Step 3: Define
The core business analysis module. Gather requirements, test feasibility and write the documents a project team builds from, then prototype the solution with AI.

Module 4: (SCTP Module) Data Analytics with AI
Step 4: Analyse
Prepare data, check its quality, build dashboards and find the trend that changes the decision. Learn to communicate data insights clearly to business leaders.
Outcome: A dashboard and a written recommendation.

Module 5: (SCTP Module) AI Integration Capstone with Industry Mentorship
Step 5: Prove
Bring together everything from Modules 1 to 4. Take a real business problem from scope to solution, guided by an industry mentor, and present your findings to a panel.
Outcome: A portfolio-ready project.
Learning mode: Classroom sessions at MAGES Institute, plus self-paced online learning. Tools may be updated to reflect current industry practice.
