PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

This course equips learners with foundational and practical skills to support real-time animation and performance workflows in virtual production environments.

 

Learners will explore how real-time engines are used to integrate motion capture data, coordinate character animation playback, and manage performance within cinematic scenes across film, broadcast, and interactive media.

 

Learners will gain experience operating animation tools, adjusting motion data, and configuring character rigs for real-time playback.

 

They will develop skills in managing animation assets, coordinating timing across performance scenes, and supporting motion-related tasks throughout the production pipeline.

 

Designed for learners entering or transitioning into real-time production, the course equips them with the core competencies to contribute effectively to animation-focused virtual production pipelines. Individuals from media, technical, and creative backgrounds-such as junior animators, motion editors, and production assistants-will benefit from this industry-relevant training.

DURATION: 30 Hrs (29 Hrs Lecture and 1 Hr Assessment)

SCHEDULE: 5 Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (6 training hours/day including lunch)

SOFTWARE TAUGHT: Unreal Engine 5.x

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: Windows/Mac Laptop no older than 2022

AWARD: A Certificate of Completion will only be issued upon successful completion of the assessment. No participation or attendance certificate will be issued if the student does not complete the assessment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants must be 18 years or older, with preferably prior experience in media, 3D, design, or broadcast. Candidates should be proficient in spoken and written English, comfortable working with digital systems in high-pressure environments, and submit a portfolio and resume. A WPLN Level 6 or above is required.

Rajesh Chakravarthy has worked in digital art and design for the past 18 years (stationed as an educator within various creative media and tech schools for 9 of those years) and is a veteran AR/VR developer and an Unreal Engine Authorised Instructor.  His leadership has led many students to successful careers within prominent companies around the globe. Rajesh’s research and hard work has made great strides in Augmented and Virtual Reality, as he intersects design, technology, and business through his many ventures in prototyping and education.

With more than 18-year background in digital art, Rajesh Chakravarthy, an AR/VR expert and authorized Unreal Engine Instructor, spent 9+ years as an educator. His leadership resulted in students securing roles in global companies.
Rajesh’s pioneering work in AR/VR, blending design, tech, and business, is evident in his prototyping and educational endeavours.
